If you ever had the .25 cent Ramen, you probably think, “Yuck!”, You hear someone say, “Its unhealthy and its bad for you!”. I heard this from my friends a co-workers countless times, but i beg to differ. For the past 20 years or more, I have been addicted to ramen. It has been my staple lunch at work, as I don’t like to spend a lot of money on lunches (or any if I can help it). Most of the time eating out is not healthy, plus those foods knock me out and put me to sleep because they are too heavy. I’m here to tell you that I’m alive and well and I’m here to show you my Ramen Soup hack.
If I’m at home, I have endless possibilities. Simply because I have my cast iron pan, access to my freezer and all the vegetables.
Ramen Soup Hack #1: Replace the Flavor Packet
Replace the original flavor packet with your favorite bullion cube. This is where the bad stuff is, MSG and all other stuff thats not good for you. Instead, use Not-Chick’n Edward & Sons Bouillon
Ramen Soup Hack #2: Roast Vegetables
I’m a big fan of a cast iron pan, so I roast my vegetables in it. I usually use frozen peppers, frozen corn, some fresh asparagus, a dash of garlic salt, a dash or curry powder, and a a few cherry tomatoes if I have them in my garden.
Ramen Soup Hack #3: Flavor Your Broth
This is by far, my favorite hack. I like to add a tablespoon or two of my favorite salsa. You can also add a teaspoon of lemon to bring out even more flavor.
Ramen Soup Hack #4: Put it all together
So there you have it, a completely health and pretty cheap Ramen Soup Recipe, which I’m personally addicted to and to me, this soup never gets old. You can swap out your veggies for something new and exciting. In addition, you can pre-roast your veggies and bring them to work.
